Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Our Cancellation and Refund Policy is designed to provide transparency and clarity regarding reservation cancellations, applicable charges, emergency situations, and future travel credits.

We understand that travel plans may change unexpectedly. Therefore, we encourage all travelers to review the following terms carefully before confirming their reservation.

How to Submit a Cancellation Request

If you wish to cancel your reservation, you must submit your cancellation request in writing via email.

Written cancellation requests help us:

  • Verify reservation details.
  • Process requests accurately.
  • Maintain official records.
  • Calculate cancellation charges based on the correct cancellation date.

A cancellation request becomes effective only after it has been received and acknowledged by our team.

Standard Cancellation Charges

If you cancel your trip, the following cancellation charges will apply based on the number of days remaining before your arrival date.

  • 10% of the total tour price will be charged.

For cancellations received between 29 and 15 days before arrival:

  • 50% of the total tour price will be charged.

Between 14 and 7 Days Before Arrival

Why Cancellation Charges Apply

Cancellation fees help cover expenses that may already have been paid to suppliers and service providers.

These costs may include:

  • Hotel reservations
  • Nile cruise bookings
  • Domestic flights
  • Transportation arrangements
  • Tour guide services
  • Administrative and processing costs

Many suppliers enforce their own cancellation and refund policy, making these charges necessary to protect confirmed travel arrangements.

Emergency cancellation and refund policy

As per our cancellation and refund policy Egypt Safari Tours offers a flexible approach to cancellations in exceptional circumstances.

If a government authority or airline issues an official travel warning that affects travel from or to your departure country and destination, special cancellation considerations may apply.

At Egypt Safari Tours, the safety and well-being of our travelers remain our highest priority. We continuously review our policies to ensure fairness and flexibility whenever extraordinary travel situations occur.

Each case will be reviewed individually based on the circumstances, official travel advisories, and supplier conditions at the time.

Refund Policy

Please note that deposits paid for confirmed reservations are generally non-refundable in cash if a cancellation occurs.

However, Egypt Safari Tours offers additional flexibility through a Future Travel Credit program.

Instead of losing the value of your deposit, the full deposited amount may be credited toward a future booking.

Future Travel Credit

As per our cancellation and refund policy, the Future Travel Credit may be used within one year from the date of cancellation.

This credit allows travelers to postpone their trip while preserving the value of their original deposit.

The credit may be applied toward:

  • Egypt tour packages
  • Nile cruises
  • Day tours
  • Desert safaris
  • Customized itineraries
  • Additional travel services offered by Egypt Safari Tours

This option provides greater flexibility for travelers whose plans change unexpectedly.

Transfer of Future Travel Credit

The Future Travel Credit can be used by:

  • The original traveler who made the booking.
  • A spouse.
  • A parent.
  • A sibling.
  • A child.
  • A designated friend.

Transfers require written authorization from the original booking holder before the credit can be reassigned.

This flexibility helps ensure that the value of the reservation remains available even if the original traveler cannot travel.

Travel Planning Recommendations

To minimize cancellation costs, we recommend:

  • Confirming travel dates carefully before booking.
  • Reviewing itinerary details thoroughly.
  • Considering travel insurance when appropriate.
  • Informing us immediately if plans change.

Early communication often provides the greatest flexibility and allows our team to explore available options for the cancellation and refund policy.
